Glasgow City Council received applications for planning permission (21/02069/FUL) and listed building consent (21/02068/FUL) to keep the facade of this building to create 87 residential flats and other uses.

There have been multiple objections to this project by local community groups, including Garnethill Community Council, due to the noise and overshadowing that the large development will cause. There are also local community concerns around the lack of parking and the construction access limitations that will increase traffic and potentially cause safety issues for the nearby school during pick up/drop off time.
